Every champion is capable of career and healthy lifestyle balancing. I’m glad that I had the privilege to attend the first brand versus brand leadership golf tournament 2016 that was organized by Brand Laureate. The tournament had featured national's 32 successful entrepreneurs and famous celebrities such as YBhg Tan Sri Rainer Althoff (Chairman of Brand Laureate), Harith Iskandar (Famous Comedian in Malaysia), Dato' Meor Chek Hussien and Datin Evelyn from V.S Industry Berhad. The participating brands include Panasonic, Volvo, Angkatan Tentera Malaysia, Polis Diraja Malaysia. Siemens Malaysia, Koong Woh Tong, the organizer Brand Laureate and others famous brands. The fresh air in the morning and vast grassland together with the scene of the entepreneur shrug off their uniform wear and daily routine have gives a unique match.
This is an honour invited by Brand Laureate and it is my first experience to attend and explore in Brand vs Brand Golf Tournament. It looks different when these VIP participants dress up in sport wear instead of formal suits. For sure they look amazingly sportier and younger!
Time is money but health is everything! They have inspired me a lot that don’t blind with busy lifestyle. To have a successful life, sport is one of the secret key to make a healthier life. Golf as in life, it is not about the status but its about the passion! Sometimes we will get bad breaks from good shots. But you have to play the ball where it lies. The success in golf rely on your mind state and decision-making instead of strength of the body.
I believe most of the young generations have similar thoughts with the majority who will think that golf sports are only for people who have certain status or rich people. After I had attended this event, there’s a great deal of conflict with that idea. I strongly disagree with the statement because golf sport is a common activity for everyone. We should redefine it especially for the young generations.
Dr KK Johan aimed to build up the young entrepreneur with new aispiration. The future generation may play important roles in defining our new world. For sure, you might be one of them. Who knows you are the next champion?
